Möbius Symmetry of Discrete Time Soliton Equations
We have proposed, in our previous papers[1, 2], a method to characterize integrable discrete soliton equations. In this paper we generalize the method further and obtain a q-difference Toda equation, from which we can derive various q-difference soliton equations by reductions.
متن کاملOn the shadowing property of nonautonomous discrete systems
In this paper we study shadowing property for sequences of mappings on compact metric spaces, i.e. nonautonomous discrete dynamical systems. We investigate the relation of weak contractions with shadowing and h-shadowing property.
متن کاملThe Generalized Symmetry Method for Discrete Equations
The generalized symmetry method is applied to a class of completely discrete equations including the Adler-Bobenko-Suris list. Assuming the existence of a generalized symmetry, we derive a few integrability conditions suitable for testing and classifying equations of this class. Those conditions are used at the end to test for integrability discretizations of some well-known hyperbolic equations.
متن کاملNonautonomous Parabolic Equations Involving Measures
where Ω ⊂ R and Γ is the boundary of Ω. In this case μΩ is a bounded Radon measure on Ω× J and μΓ is such a measure on Γ× J . In [10] the semilinear analogues of (0.1) and (0.2), where μ and (μΩ, μΓ), respectively, may also depend nonlinearly and nonlocally on the unknown solution u, are investigated. Based on the results of [5], general existence, uniqueness, and continuity theorems are proved...
متن کاملSymmetry, asymmetry, and the cell cycle in plants: known knowns and some known unknowns.
The body architectures of most multicellular organisms consistently display both symmetry and asymmetry. Here, we discuss some of the available knowledge and open questions on how symmetry and asymmetry appear in several conspicuous plant cells and tissues. We focus, where possible, on the role of genes that participate in the maintenance or the breaking of symmetry and that are directly or ind...
